Continuing Professional Development
This committee coordinates the NCRTA annual conference
as a way to 1) provide opportunities for recreation therapy professionals,
students, educators, and other human service providers to enhance skills
and knowledge, gain insight into successful treatment interventions, and
explore various aspects of delivering recreation therapy services and 2)
generate revenue for the association.
Tasks:
- Committee positions include but not limited to Chairperson(s),
Program Committee, and Logistics Committee.
- The Chair is responsible for the leadership of the
committee, conducting regular committee meetings, and reporting routinely
to the Program Coordinator and at least quarterly to the Board of Directors.
- The Program Committee coordinates the following areas:
educational program, CEU's, poster session, audiovisual, evaluation, social,
and scholarship.
The Logistics Committee coordinates the following
areas: registration, exhibits/resources, job and internship display, marketing,
printing signage, interpreters, meal functions/breaks.
