Committee Descriptions

Award/Recognition

This committee is responsible for coordinating the nomination and selection of award winners for the organization. Work is done from May-October and is conducted through e-mail, fax and phone. For more information contact the awards chair at awards@ncrta.org.

Marketing
This committee is responsible for increasing awareness of RT to outside audiences, encouraging the employment/utilization of TRS/TRA, and promoting the development of and expansion of RT service areas. Legislative
This committee is responsible for continued monitoring & reporting of critical legislative issues to NCRTA members; participating in monthly ARTA State Initiatives conference calls; establish & coordinate NC regional legislative network to participate in the ATRA Action Alert Fax Network. Technology Committee
This committee is responsible for keeping up-to-date information on the NCRTA web page. Committee members would provide information relevant to our profession to the Web Manager for updates, after the approval of the President. Student Issues Forum
This committee is responsible for coordinating the Student Issues Forum, which is an opportunity for RT students to enhance skills and increase networking among students, professionals, & educators. This group conducts its work through e-mail, fax and phone. For more information contact the student representatives at studentissues@ncrta.org.

Continuing Proessional Development
This committee is responsible for coordinating the Annual Conference. This group conducts its work through regular meetings, phone, e-mail and fax. The conference is held in the fall (usually October) and work occurs from January – October. For more information contact Tina Gadison Piccirilli at programcoord@ncrta.org.

Research
This committee is responsible for coordinating efforts to solicit research funding requests, review research requests, and make recommendations to the NCRTA Board of Directors on granting research funding requests. Work is carried out from December-May and is conducted through 1-2 meetings per year, e-mail, fax and phone. For more information contact the research chair at research@ncrta.org.

Lending Library
This committee is responsible for collecting library materials (books, audiocassettes, videocassettes, etc.) and loaning them to current NCRTA members. Work occurs year-round. For more information contact Julie Bradwell at library@ncrta.org.

Newsletter Editor
This position is responsible for collecting materials to be published in our bi-monthly newsletter. Work occurs year-round and can be done via e-mail, phone and fax. For more information contact the newsletter editor at newsletter@ncrta.org.
